I have been working on this song all day long
And for some reason it kept coming out wrong
But I didn’t give up, and now it’s done
I can’t tell you when I’ve had so much fun
It’s a simple tune, this is true
And it makes me the opposite of blue
It’s written in the key of C
Just another song, to you from me

Now The Sun Turns Out Its Light
One More Time…..
Here Comes the Sun
Actually, there goes the sun. But it will be back in the morning.
Today’s song isn’t classical but it is still a classic. It’s not completely done, but I need to take a break. And this song needs to be out in the world now, not later.
Here are my versions of The Beatles “Here Comes The Sun“:
Think For Yourself
This is one of the Beatles songs that doesn’t have a solo. It just repeats the same phrase four times.
I find that interesting.
Everybody, sing along……
Think for Yourself
I’ve got a word or two
To say about the things that you do
You’re telling all those lies
About the good things that we can have
If we close our eyes
Do what you want to do
And go where you’re going to
Think for yourself
‘Cause I won’t be there with you
I left you far behind
The ruins of the life that you have in mind
And though you still can’t see
I know your mind’s made up
You’re gonna cause more misery
Do what you want to do
And go where you’re going to
Think for yourself
‘Cause I won’t be there with you
Although your mind’s opaque
Try thinking more if just for your own sake
The future still looks good
And you’ve got time to rectify
All the things that you should
Do what you want to do
And go where you’re going to
Think for yourself
‘Cause I won’t be there with you
Do what you want to do
And go where you’re going to
Think for yourself
‘Cause I won’t be there with you
Think for yourself
‘Cause I won’t be there with you
I’ll Follow The Sun
Blast from the Past (Updated 10-2021)
Here is a song you’re sure to remember
It came out sometime in late September
Way back in Nineteen Sixty-Five
I heard it was a great year, were you alive?
The Beatles were everywhere, they could do no wrong
No matter the music, whatever the song
They changed music forever, you know the rest
And I think I like this song the best:
Eleanor is Back
Fun Fact: One of the few Beatles songs that never changes key.

One More Song
Actually this is the same song I have been working on for the past 2 weeks, but it has harps this time around. Lots and lots of harps.
30 Bars Down……
The re-harmonization project continues….. Here are two versions of my re-harmonization of the Beatles “Within You and Without You.” I really like the way it sounds at the 33 second mark.
For those of you who don’t know, re-harmonizing a song involves adding different chords to an existing melody. In this case there weren’t any chords to begin with!
Here is the sheet music for all of you musicians out there:

No Drums Needed
Below are two examples of a musical idea I have had for a while. It is the melody to the previous song, with some harmonies of my own. You will no doubt notice the contrary motion of the lines of music.

Today’s Song
This song isn’t done yet, but it’s just so darn good I had to put it up today.
