It was very flat. Except for the arch. Here is a song called East St. Louis Toodle-OO, from the album Pretzel Logic.

Here is another happy-go-lucky Chopin song: And here is another “Show Pen” song:
-
Here is another one from the “Can’t Buy a Thrill” album and is titled Kings.

This is a reharmonized Steely Dan song called Midnite Cruiser from the Can’t Buy a Thrill album. The melody is the same as the original, but almost everything else has changed. (If the song doesn’t work, reload your page.) Original Version: The real deal:

I took the melody from “Dirty Work” by Steely Dan and added my own chords and bass line. This is what it sounded like before: And here is the real deal. Check this one out: Approximately one year ago I posted this song. I remember that day. And finally, here is an artist who is

Here is a song for you on this “Tuesday Afternoon.” The previous version was missing something. How are you doing? I hope you are doing well, whoever you are. May this song bring you blessings. It was created in a loving environment with the inspiration and encouragement of a furry four-legged friend. This is one

Today’s song is number 13 for Steely Dan. It is the first one I have done from the album Katy Lied. It is called Any World (That I’m Welcome To). It can be found along with the other Steely Dan songs here:

Today is Saturday, November 18th. That prayer for rain has finally been answered. And all we had to do was wait. See if you can name these songs: (For extra fun, see if you can get them both to play at the same time.) And now we send out another prayer for rain. Let’s see

I was looking at my credit card statement and realized that my balance is much higher than I thought. Perhaps there is something wrong with my debt perception. And here is my take on another song by Steely Dan called Deacon Blues from the album Aja. Finally, I am putting out a prayer for rain.

I haven’t been making any music this week, but I wanted to share something:
-
Name those tunes.

Today’s prose: You can complain about a barking dog All day long But in the end he’ll keep singing That same old song And there’s nothing you can do about it! See if you can name that song from that album. And despite the similarities, it isn’t “Who Let the Dogs Out.”:
-
This is my take on the old Steely Dan Classic Deacon Blues, followed by Aja.

Another song from Steely Dan’s Gaucho album is finished. The funny thing about Steely Dan songs is this: Once someone starts working on one they cannot stop until they are done. It’s a rule. Here is “Time Out of Mind” with a piano, and without one. And now we are out of time.
-
Were you alive in November 1980? Steely Dan released an album at that time titled “Gaucho.” This is one version of a song from said album. It is titled “My Rival.” Although Donald Fagen used different keyboards in the song, I think a piano works really well, don’t you agree? Surely you must!

See if you can name that tune: Warm and Fuzzy version:

In celebration of the weekend, here are two more songs. Artwork by Paul Klee
