Another song from Steely Dan’s Gaucho album is finished. The funny thing about Steely Dan songs is this: Once someone starts working on one they cannot stop until they are done. It’s a rule. Here is “Time Out of Mind” with a piano, and without one. And now we are out of time.

Were you alive in November 1980? Steely Dan released an album at that time titled “Gaucho.” This is one version of a song from said album. It is titled “My Rival.” Although Donald Fagen used different keyboards in the song, I think a piano works really well, don’t you agree? Surely you must!
